Snow Removal Services: Terms & Conditions

Captain's Cleanup provides residential snow removal services to Plymouth, Canton and surrounding cities using snow blowers, shovels, and blowers. Our services include removing snow from sidewalks, driveways, and disability ramps to front porches. We also offer ice-melt applications upon request, for an additional charge. In addition, we provide vehicle snow removal services under the name SnowFree Cars, using blowers, snow scrapers, and vehicle-safe de-icing fluids for windshields if requested for an additional charge.  

 We will initiate snow removal when accumulation reaches a minimum of 2 inches, this includes our SnowFree Cars service unless customer requests otherwise. For snowfalls 6 inches or greater, a 10% surcharge per inch will apply. 

• Wind Drifts/Deep Snow: If deep snow accumulates due to wind drifts a 10% surcharge per inch will be applied to those areas. We will text or email pictures of  snow depth or request your presence to verify if needed.
• City Snow Plow Blockages/Compacted Snow or Ice:  If city snow plows have blocked your driveway and/or if we encounter compacted snow or ice, and tools beyond our standard snow blowers or shovels are required to break up the snow or ice, there will be a minimum fee of $25 (fee is determined by depth, difficulty, and additional time needed on property). Note: These events are not common, but they do occur.
• Heavy Snowfalls: In the event of a heavy snowfall, we may not wait for the snow to stop completely before servicing your property. For efficiency and the safety of both our team and your family, we may make two visits during major storms. If a second visit is necessary, we will contact you to confirm beforehand. 
• Notification: We will confirm any additional fees with you in advance before starting work. If you are unavailable to confirm, we will proceed to the next customer, and your property may not be serviced. 
• Pre-Notification: To avoid delays, we strongly encourage customers to notify us in advance if they anticipate driveway blockages or unusually deep snow areas.

• Property Lines:
 We will flag your property lines prior to the first snow removal of the season. If you prefer not to have your property flagged, please contact us. This helps us clearly identify your driveway, walkways, and landscape boundaries.
• Vehicles:
Please make every effort to remove all vehicles from your driveway before our arrival. If a vehicle remains, we will try to clear snow around it, but full snow removal around the vehicle cannot be guaranteed. If you typically park in your driveway, we strongly recommend adding our "SnowFree Cars" service. This includes snow removal from bumper to bumper, including the roof and windshields. • Communication:
 Please provide a phone number and be available for calls or text messages on service days to avoid delays or cancellations.
Note: We service multiple customers each day. If delays occur due to missed payments or verification of additional fees, we may need to move on to the next customer. In such cases, your snow removal service may be missed for that day. Your property will then be placed at the bottom of the service route, and we will notify you of the next available service time.
• Power/Network Outages:Please ensure you have cash on hand for your snow removal service. In the event of power, cell phone, or payment processor outages, we will collect cash upon arrival. Captain's Cleanup does not accept checks. If you are not home during an outage or unable to provide cash, your service will be rescheduled and moved to the bottom of our routing list.

Due to the nature of our business, Captain’s Cleanup will suspend all snow removal operations for up to two weeks each year for maintenance, equipment servicing, and preparation for the upcoming lawn care season. The 2024 Winter Season Shutdown will begin approximately on March 3, 2025, and end on March 16, 2025. During this time, snow removal services will not be available. Normal snow removal operations will resume no later than March 17, continuing through April or until the last snowfall of the season.
